Chris Olson lives in Colorado and loves to ski and hike in the mountains. The Boho Bryony Collection is for snow lovers and high altitude junkies. For this market I’m interested in how colors and patterns work together to create energizing, feminine prints for ski/snowboard apparel and equipment.

The inspiration for this collection: Ice and snow reflecting in the Colorado light. Star gazing in the mountains. Motion inspired designs. Snowscapes. Romantic florals.

The Dulce pattern in the Balance collection is influenced by the hyper real nature trend, textured illusion, and hand rendered prints with a digital twist.  Color palette has a playful tropical vibe well suited for active wear with a charged pink, warm orange, and tropical moss hues.

The Wailea collection is influenced by the marbled trend, geos and textured illusion. All designs are hand rendered prints with a digital twist.  Color palette has a warm romantic tropical vibe well suited for active wear with pink and warm orange hues.

Diving into the iridescent botanical trend, the designs in this collection feature a magical enchanted jungle motif. All designs are hand drawn by me. A bright and dreamy color palette perfect for spring and summer features many of my favorite popsicle colors.

The Cali Collection style combines natural elements with a modern twist.  Chris loves rich saturated colors combined with unexpected patterns and textures. She is drawn to the idea of a psychedelic take on camouflage found in nature. Think tropical fish, lush plants, and beautiful insects. She also likes the idea of the pattern transporting you to an exotic place where the nature becomes almost otherworldly.  One of her favorite playgrounds is the beach. The way the light reflects off the water is always inspiring. Water and surf inspired. Motion and reflection. Trends: Bold geos. Photo real images. Hand painted. This print features saturated pinks combined with unexpected patterns and textures. Designed with activewear in mind these patterns have a daring, bold, and enthusiastic vibe.

This pattern is inspired by some of the things Chris likes most about vintage fabric. I love the romantic color scheme and the hand-drawn element of layering and building up colors and depth with paint.
