The Ice Princess design challenge over at Pattern Observer recently wrapped up. Here are three textile designs I created with ski apparel and equipment in mind.

I live in Colorado and love-love-love to ski and hike in the mountains. Here is a brief description of my collection.

My customer: Snow lovers and high altitude junkies. For this market I’m interested in how colors and patterns work together to create energizing, feminine prints for ski/snowboard apparel and equipment.

My inspiration: Ice and snow reflecting in the Colorado light. Star gazing in the mountains. Motion inspired designs. Snowscapes. Romantic florals.

My Style + Trends: Mixed media. Photo-real images. Hand painted. (Many patterns are available as technically correct repeats.)
